FIPP / CIPS Examen

The FIPP Examination is a psychometrically-developed and practice-related interventional examination in the field of Pain Medicine consisting of three (3) parts. Part 1 is a theoretical examination, part 2 is a practical examination and part 3 is an oral examination.  For comprehensive information about the FIPP Examination, including eligibility requirements, please review the  FIPP Bulleting Bulletin.  To apply for the FIPP Examination, please visit the online application system.

The World Institute of Pain also offers the Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist (CIPS) Examination.  The CIPS Examination is similar to the FIPP Examination, although oriented towards interventional pain medicine guided by ultrasound imaging.  For comprehensive information about the CIPS Examination, please review the CIPS Information Bulletin.  To apply for the CIPS Examination, please visit the online application system.

As always, there will also be WIP-sponsored conferences and cadaver workshops just before each exam, which might be helpful for exam preparation.  We also encourage you to take advantage of other WIP-endorsed conferences/workshops offered throughout the year for additional review and practice.  Registration for these events is separate, and details can be found by following the links on the main WIP-website
